About the Author

Brian A. Bain completed his BA and MA in Religious Studies at the University of British Columbia. Presently he is a freelance researcher in the field of spiritual experiences, with special interest in the relationship between near-death experiences and religious experiences in various historical traditions. He presently lives near Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
